You are Still in the Running to Becoming America's Next Top Model....

Ok, so maybe I subconsciously miss ANTM because I keep naming my post after the show. WTF? Anyway, this is a phrase to tell all your Winter items that you will keep to transition into your Spring wardrobe. Here are my top 3 Winter items that are still in the running for Spring!

1. Leather Jacket

Try unbuttoning the cuffs and scrunching the sleeves for a fresher look.

2. Boots
  • Booties and ankle boots, do them with tulip skirts.

Oh, and please keep the Ugg and Ugg-like boots where they belong...in the TRASH!

3. Accessories

Of course your accessories would carry over. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Staple Sunglasses (You should have copped them when I told you to!)

Photobucket
  • Scarves (and I do not mean the Blizzard of '96 scarves that your grandma knitted you)

Hmmm....I wonder what ended up packing it's bags and leaving your closet immediately.......

Question of the Day....Prada's VS Ada's...LMAO!

Today's question comes from M.W. Let's take a looksie...

Q: Dear Fashion female, Due to the recent "Bootlegging" of the Prada Sneaker, are they still considered a good buy? Or would you suggest to stay away?

A: Ok, first, I have to start by saying that THESE ARE THE UGLIEST PAIR OF SNEAKERS I HAVE EVER SCENE. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO BUY THE REAL OR FAKE VERSION OF THESE ANYWAY? WTF! SAVE YOUR MONEY! Wheewww...now that I got that off my chest...here's my thoughts....I am NEVER an advocate of knock-offs...PERIOD. I do believe in some instances of "faking it until you're making it" but NOT when it comes to fashion. I also understand that not everyone can afford designer items (including myself but I refuse to admit it) but I am here to offer some alternatives. One would be to shop designer outlets. This is a place that I heart myself. I can spend hours in there....literally. Chanel vest---5 bucks, Chloe jeans---$100...you can't beat it and you always come out feeling like you've won. Another would be to join a sample sale club. I am a member of one---Gilt Groupe. It is a by invite only (I can get you in!) club. Another to try is Ideeli. Both clubs feature designer items at discount pricing. I've bought jeans, dresses, handbags, you name it, they offer it. So at the end of the day, don't sell yourself short by buying some knock-off...try my alternatives and you'll be happier knowing you've got the authentic designer item you desire!

You Wanna be on Top?

No, this post will not be about Tyra....it's about all about tops. Here are some cute ideas on how to wear different style tops....

Most of you probably have styles in your closet right now that are similar to these. Try layering...layering always gives your look more depth and character. You don't always have to resort to the basic turtleneck (you shouldn't being do that anyway!) or a white tank. If you do want to do these just add a blazer or a hot leather jacket (check my "must haves" post).
Now look who's on TOP!

...Thanks to Net-A-Porter.com for the looks!

Question of the Day...Does Size Really Matter?

Ok, get your minds out of the gutter, NASTIES! Anyway, today's question comes from R.C.

Q: Is there ever a case when the frames on your shades are simply TOO big?? I really heart these Tom Ford sunglasses, but I’m afraid that the frames are too large for my face. How do you know when bigger really isn’t better?
tf

A: Well R.C., it's all about the shape of your face. From what I can tell, you seem to have a diamond shaped face which means you have wide or high cheekbones with a narrow forehead and chin. Oval sunglasses will soften the contour of your face. Make sure the style is no wider than the top of your cheekbones. I would say that the frames you "heart" should be perfect for you! Additional frame suggestions for your face shape are square and rimless. Let me know how they turn out.

Wear These and I Guarantee Your Swag Button will be Working

Question of the Day

Today's question comes from S.P. and it's about skin....take a looksey.....

Q: "Hey in your travels for skin care have you heard anything for darkness around the eyes. I don't know if you remember the eczema break out I had in high school but I had it again and it hasn't clear up. I've been to the plastic surge center but what they had didn't work. Any suggestion?"

A: Well S.P., I'm no expert but I do have recommendations....a good Dermatologist. One to recommend is Dr. Susan Taylor. She is located right in Society Hill in Philadelphia and I must say she is a bad one! She's my personal Dermatologist as well as a few other close friends of mine. She specializes in skin conditions of brown skin. Check her out here. Good luck!

Just When You Were Sick of Seeing Tights....

I Heart These!

Hey style whores! Check out these cut little watches from Toy Watch USA. They are nicely priced, too...do your research!

P.S. People, don't ruin the look by taking them to Fake-ub the Jeweler and getting them "iced" out...save your diamonds for the Presidential......mmmmm.

Today's Question of the Day....

I told y'all if you wanna ask me questions just submit them....well, we have our first. And it comes from C.S.

Q: "Hey! Can we write you for advice? I got these Betsey Johnson shoes that I love but I don't even know if they're in style."

A. They're cute! I see them with a number of things: pretty dresses, leggings, loose fitting pants, tulip mini skirts. Wear them like you would a pair of ankle boots. They are really sturdy and bold so you should do them with something feminine.

Louis Vuitton hasn't really sparked my attention since the early 2000's but these babies are pretty cute. They're the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Alma MM bags. What flavor do you choose?!

R.I.P.

It all started here....on a trendy block in downtown Manhatten.....I witnessed the transformation of windows and interior design over the years....How many years you ask? I believe my first visit was in 1999. My first pair? A beautiful pair of Giuseppe Zanotti ankle booties, cement in color with 4 inch silver stiletto heels....I was freakin' hooked! It was all down hill after that purchase. I have coveted many greats since that purchase....the "chingaling sandal" as my bestie would call them. They're actually Roberto Cavalli wedges with coin detailing.....My first thousand dollar sandal, also Cavalli, which consequently did not turn out to be my last. I remember how great it felt to bring along a fellow shoe whore to the buy one get one free sale. What?! $300 a piece for each pair!....What a steal! Well.....it's all over now. They have closed their doors.....FOREVER!!! I cried!!! I really did.....so now, all I can say is thank you, Petit Peton, for teaching me to be a woman with confidence, style, and impeccable taste.....Rest In Peace!

Its Mercedes-Benz Fashion week, you know.....My Favorite Clothing Item for Purchase: Dresses

Dresses are a one stop shop for any event. I remember being a kid and crying when I had to wear pants! LOL! These are by Yigel Azrouel...I own a few of his designs myself....Enjoy!!!

Gucci Spring '09

Ok...Gucci has officially out done themselves with Spring 2009....Do you see these bitchez? WTF? They are AMAZING! Can't you just see them with white skinny jeans, a tank, some sick sunglasses and an ignorant bag...hoppin out of your white Range all confident....lol!

FashionFemale's Top 10 Must Haves....PERIOD!

1.  Basic white tees:  Whether they be long or short sleeved, tank or racer back, a white tee can take you a loooong way.  Steer clear of the pricey ones.  Let's be serious, they all get yellow and stained at some point so try Target, Walmart, or Hanes...No seriously, lol!

2.  Sunglasses:  A basic pair of large frame shades can take your look from plain to "Ok, she thought about her outfit today".

3.  COMFORTABLE Stilettos:  Yes, they do exist.  Comfortable high heels are a must for your wardrobe....when everyone else is touring the Flower Shoe in flats, you'll stand tall (and comfortable) in your 4 inches!

4.  Moisturizer with SPF:  Don't ask why...just wear it.  One to try:  Total Effects by Olay

5.  Proper Undergarments:  You'd be surprised how they can change the look of an outfit!

6.  A DDMH:  A.K.A Dentist, dermatologist, manicurist, and hair stylist.  You should visit these regularly.  Where are you going with $900 pumps and and ashy feet....I can't!

7.  Well Fitting Jeans:  If you have a pair that fits for the most part, don't be afraid of the tailor.

8.  Cute Leather Jacket:  Thanks Deb!  They can go with jeans, slacks, freak'em dresses...whateva!

9.  Perfume:  You're a lady...you should wear it!

10. Cocktail Dress:  You can go inexpensive or pricey as long as which ever it is, it fits WELL....Remember, it's always about the FIT!

The Bag I Luzt Over....

Greetingz....Thiz iz the bag of all bagz....it'z the Valentino Petale Dome Bowler....All I have to zay iz HOT!
