Channeling My Inner Eastwood.....

Fringe vests can be a great way to take your Rihanna beaters (ok, bad joke) up a notch. Wear them with plain tanks, booty shorts and stilettos (joking), and cute flats. Don't forget....ONLY ONE OF YOUR CLOTHING ITEMS SHOULD BE FRINGE.....too much fringe could have you mistaken for a member of the Tina and Ike convention.

Spring/Summer Etiquette....In Case You Didn't Already Know

It's that time of year again....the days are longer, the temperature is finally rising, and the pollen count is all crazy. Here are the Top 5 to-dos to get yourself ready for Spring (besides stocking up on the Benadryl!).

1. Manicures/Pedicures: Although this should be apart of your regularly scheduled grooming maintainence, if you haven't gotten one all Winter NOW IS THE TIME! Plus, there is nothing better than kicking off your shoes at your man's house and walking around on his plush carpet with your pretty toes! PERIOD. Try a bright color to get you in the Springtime mood.

2. Remove Unwanted Body Hair: Hairy legs and under arms (and crotches for that matter) are just plain nasty.....I don't care what man told you this was sexy(he was a hater and trying to keep you down so you should run!). Wax it, shave it, Veet it, whatever you have to do to rid your body of the hair.
3. Replace Heel Taps on Sandals: If your heels are rundown on your sandals, please get them replaced. It's only like a $5 fix and this will prolong the life of your shoes. "Runover" shoes are never cute....I don't care if they are Louboutin....if they're runover, they may as well be from BareFeet (gross)!
4. Throwout All White Tees and Tanks with Yellow Armpit Stains: Deodorant and perspiration mixed together creates these nasty yellow stains. I don't care how much soaking you do, the stain will not come out. For this reason, I don't buy expensive white tees. Try Hanes or Target to get equal quality at the fraction of a price.
5. Exfoliate Your Body: No one likes ashy, dry skin. Remove that Winter dryness with an at home exfoliant. I like St. Ive's Apricot Scrub.

Ok....I know I said 5 but I have to add one more....WASH YOUR WEAVES, hair extensions, whatever you call them. If it's been 2 weeks + since you got it washed.....it most likely stinks and is really gross. Weaves have to be cared for just like natural hair.

The dress has been shortened and taken in on the back seams. This was an extremely easy fix....Total price tag for dress and alterations $65! Try scouring thrift shops or your mothers closet for cute items that need a little altering.

Besides my aces from high school, my other bestie just happens to be my tailor. I can not begin to explain the importance of a tailor when it comes to a women's clothing. Here is the before and after of a leather dress circa '92. At first glance this would be nothing more than a Goodwill reject. The length is gross, the darts are all wrong, and not to mention it used to have this hideous brooch attached to the bow (lol @ the pink niplets!).
